7th-level transmutation
You touch a creature that is large or smaller and attempt to freeze it. Make a melee spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 6d8 cold damage and must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, the target becomes paralyzed for the duration. A creature paralyzed by this spell repeats the saving throw at the end of each of its turns. On a successful save, the spell ends. A creature that is immune to cold damage is unaffected by this spell.
A target reduced to 0 hit points while under the effect of this spell is permanently turned into magical ice that does not melt due to temperature. This also occurs if the caster maintains concentration for the entire duration of the spell.
