3rd-level evocation
You create a tiny orb of pure, radiant energy in your space, choosing a creature you can see within range to be its target. Alternatively, you can utter a creature’s name. If the named creature is within range, it becomes the target even if you can’t see it. If the named creature isn’t within range, the orb dissipates without effect.
For the duration of the spell, the orb sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. At the end of each of your turns, it flies 60 feet directly toward the target. If the orb reaches the target’s space, it hovers there.
Before the spell ends, you can cause the orb to explode (no action required). Each creature within 5 feet of the orb when it explodes must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes 8d8 radiant damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
