3rd-level evocation
You create a tiny orb of pure radiant energy in your space and choose a creature that you can see within range. Alternatively, you can utter a creature’s name. If the named target is within range, it becomes the spell’s target even if you can’t see it. If the named target isn’t within range, the orb dissipates without effect.
For the duration of the spell, at the end of each of your turns, the orb flies 60 feet directly toward the target. The orb sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. If the orb reaches the targets space, it hovers there.
Before the spell ends you can cause the orb to explode (no action required). Every creature within 5 feet of the orb when it explodes must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 8d8 radiant damage, or half as much damage on a successful save.
