1st-level conjuration
You conjure a tiny sphere of lightning at a point you choose within range. The sphere hovers in the air and does not occupy its space. The sphere sheds bright light in a 10-foot radius and dim light for an additional 10 feet. As a bonus action on each of your turns you can move the sphere up to 30 feet. The sphere vanishes if it is ever more than 60 feet away from you or you cast this spell again.
For the duration, whenever you make a melee or ranged spell attack that deals lightning or thunder damage, you can choose to use the sphere as the point of origin for the spell. When you do so, you can add your spellcasting ability modifier to your damage roll.
