You conjure a spear made of solid light in your hand. The spear emits bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for a further 20-foot radius. It acts as a regular spear, and you are proficient in its use. When you hit your target with a melee or thrown attack using this spear, it takes radiant damage equal to 1d6 + your spellcasting ability modifier.

If you drop the spear or throw it, it dissipates at the end of your turn. Until the spell ends, you can use a bonus action to cause the spear to reappear in your hand.

When you cast this spell using a 3rd- or 4th-level spell slot, the spear has a +1 bonus to attack rolls and damage rolls. When you cast it using a 5th- or 6th-level spell slot, the spear has a +2 bonus. When you cast it using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the spear has a +3 bonus.
