You conjure a shaft of light in your hand, shaping it into a radiant spear. The spear emits bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. The spear is considered a magical weapon, and you are proficient in its use. When you attack with the spear, you can use your spellcasting ability modifier for the attack and damage rolls instead of Strength.

If you drop the spear or throw it, it dissipates at the end of your turn. Until the spell ends, you can use a bonus action to cause the spear to reappear in your hand.

At higher levels

When you cast this spell using a 3rd- or 4th-level spell slot, the spear has a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls. When you cast it using a 5th- or 6th-level spell slot, the spear has a +2 bonus. When you cast it using a spell slot of 7th level or higher, the spear has a +3 bonus.
