2nd-level evocation
You sweep your arm through the air and fling a viscous mass of insects and spores infused with necrotic energy. Each creature in a 30-foot cone must make a Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, a creature takes 3d6 necrotic damage and can’t regain hit points until the start of your next turn. On a successful save, a creature takes half as much damage and suffers no additional effects.
Nonmagical plants in the area that aren’t creatures, such as trees and shrubs, are consumed by the swarm and die instantly.
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 2nd.
