5th-level necromancy
You extract vital essence from one creature in range and redirect it to yourself or another creature you are touching. The target must make a Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, it takes 4d8 necrotic damage, or half as much on a success. Whether the target succeeds or fails its saving throw, you or a creature you are touching regains hit points equal to the amount of damage dealt.
When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher, the necrotic damage dealt increases by 1d8 for each slot level above 5th.
