2nd-level evocation
You touch one tiny nonmagical object and mentally designate a verbal password. Until the spell ends, the object you touched emits thin wisps of smoke and a faint hissing noise. If a creature touches the object before the spell ends without saying the password out loud, it emits a burst of fire, and the spell ends. Each creature within 5 feet of the object must then make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 3d10 fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the object is set on fire, dropped, or otherwise handled roughly, it explodes with the same effect.
A creature can use its action to determine if the object has been sabotaged before touching it by making a successful Intelligence (Arcana or Investigation) check against your spell save DC.
When you cast this spell using a 3rd level or higher spell slot, the damage increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 2nd. If you use a spell slot of 5th level or higher, the spell doesn’t require concentration.
