Toxic Gland

Tiny gland oozing black oil

Attunement

Spellcasting focus. Requires attunement by a spellcaster.

A brightly colored fleshy gland that emits a thick corrosive poison when squeezed, seemingly without limit.

Attunement
You must swallow poison milked from the gland and then fight to survive its effects. You are subject to the poisoned condition for 8 hours and fall unconscious for the duration. Nothing can remove this poison from you. At the end of the duration you must make a DC 20 Constitution saving throw.

On a failed save you take 4d6 poison damage and your maximum hit points are permanently reduced by 1d4. If you fail to attune you cannot attempt to do so again until you have finished a long rest. On a successful save you attune to the gland. While attuned to the gland you gain the following features.

Weavesense
You sense the direction and distance to the gland at all times. This effect ends if another creature attunes to it.
Toxic Magic
You gain knowledge of Toxic spells which you can cast with your available spell slots. The gland must be held in the hand to cast these spells.
Vaccinated
You are immune to disease and poison while you have the gland in your possession.
Weedkiller
As an action while holding the gland you can cause it to produce a thin putrid gas in a 10-foot radius around itself, causing non magical plant life in the area to instantaneously wither and die and creatures to be repulsed by the stench.
